A survey course, intended for graduate engineering and law students. Provides students with a broad understanding of the interdisciplinary issues associated with standardization, which is a difficult concept to define. From a broad perspective, the term covers every product, material, and service in commerce, anywhere in the world; it is one of the most critical components associated with the development of the global economy and all of its individual parts. 3 Credits
